Gabriele FARINA

Chercheur LHSV
I’m currently a PostDoc at Laboratoire d’Hydraulique Saint-Venant (LHSV). I’m working on flood modeling focusing on roughness calibration using surface velocity data assimilation algorithms coupled with TELEMAC-2D (in collaboration with Vito Bacchi, Cédric Goeury and Sébastien Boyaval).
Education
- Ph.D. in the field of Hydraulic Engineering (Curriculum: Natural Risks Assessment and Management), achieved in 2025 at Università degli Studi di Brescia (Italy) with the final dissertation “Implementation of a mathematical model for unsteady flow in irrigation channel networks with application to the case of management of Canale Vacchelli, Consorzio Irrigazioni Cremonesi”.
- Master's degree in Land and Environmental Engineering, achieved in 2020 at Università degli Studi di Brescia (Italy).
