PhDs' Welcome Day at Ecole Polytechnique

Every year, the Doctoral Schools of IP-Paris organize an on-site Welcome Day for all its PhD students. Can you spot ours ??

This event aims at providing an overview of the PhD studies, entrepreneurship opportunities available at IP Paris, and practical information about student life on IP Paris Campus. It is also an opportunity for students to ask questions to representatives from the Graduate School administration.

A poster presentation, with awards, is given by 2nd year PhD students.

"Seeing the Poincaré amphitheater filled with so much talent is always a powerful moment. This year, our community stands at 1,108 doctoral students representing 66 different nationalities. This diversity is our greatest strength.
Joining IP Paris means becoming part of an alliance of 6 major schools (École Polytechnique, ENSTA, École nationale des ponts et chaussées, ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris, Télécom SudParis) and a world-class research ecosystem.
I shared three key messages with them regarding the "marathon" that is a PhD:

• Play as a team: Research is a human adventure. Break down disciplinary silos.
• Set high standards: Faced with current global crises, scientists bear a major ethical responsibility.
• Be daring: Take advantage of the unique fluidity between fundamental research and entrepreneurship on our campus.
